Packed inside the iMac's slim case is a variety of advanced components, from the latest-generation Kaby Lake processors, to powerful Radeon Pro GPUs or Intel Iris Plus graphics, to efficient Fusion Drives with storage space of up to 2TB. With all these high-performance components, the iMac doesn't lack for power or speed, no matter how heavy is your workload. Of course, the iMac's display is as beautiful and vibrant as ever. When you buy Microsoft Office 2016, your license never expires and you can use it, theoretically, forever, as long as Microsoft Office 2016 brings lots of new features and improvements over previous versions. You can install it on Windows laptops, desktops and 2-in-1s, you can install it on Macs. Microsoft has released a preview of Office 2016, which you can download from the Office Web site (a 2.66GB download) and install on any Mac that supports it. The latest version of Office offers an interface that is optimized for OS X Yosemite, bringing a flatter look, and better integrates Office. You can now get 21.5 inch iMac with improved 4K Retina display, guaranteed to provide crystal-clear, vibrant, lifelike images. Every 27-inch iMac desktop now has 5K Retina display, giving you 14.7 million pixels. That's 67% more pixels than 4K and 7 times more pixels than HD resolution. The iMac with Retina 5K display lets you see details you can't even discern on the regular HD displays. All-new accessories - the Apple Magic Keyboard, Apple Magic Mouse 2 and Apple Magic Trackpad 2 - let you make the most of the iMac's capabilities. And, since every new iMac comes with macOS Sierra, you'll have everything you need to feed your creativity and boost productivity. With all its features and capabilities, the iMac beats the competition in form and function. We recently purchased a bunch of iMacs for our school computer laboratory, and I see the smiles in our student’s faces when they use it. Personally, I have my own to work with at the office, and I can understand why it’s a breath of fresh air compared to our old PC setups. IWork dominates my work, and I must say I’m impressed with how I can easily manage our data with less effort. Presenting graphs to the board of directors have become something I look forward to because now, I can wow them and know that I can persuade them to consider my ideas with visual effects. Other than that, I’m still to get used to the humongous screen in front of me – I feel like I’m at the movies – and I still have to explore the other apps. Good buy though! Being a professor from a university, I have been requesting for an iMac for some time now and I thank the folks upstairs heard my plea. Since I’m covering theoretical physics as a subject, I needed to present elaborate and visually stimulating diagrams and presentations to get the attention of even my smartest students. Using Adobe AfterEffects and Illustrator in the iMac is a wonderful time for me to plan and create my lectures. This unit can handle what I want to do and even amazes me even now that it can do it smoothly without me banging the table because it hanged. Once I presented my lecture in class, everyone suddenly became more interested and now voluntarily asks for copies of my lectures. I have too many students to handle and with the Thunderbolt ports, each drive I receive can be placed with a copy of my lecture in just under 45 minutes (yes I counted). I just hope they (the uni) don’t makes cuts again, I don’t want the iMac to go away. I’m currently working on a 3D miniseries and the iMac is truly a heaven’s blessing when I render about 2,000 frames every week. There’s too much reliability I put on this computer to make me say a bad thing (ok there’s one I need more USB ports my office mates are archaic and refuse to switch with Thunderbolt). The big screen allows me to fully get into the details of my work without zooming in and moving my head close to the point that I can see the pixel lines. The sheer high definition of the screen is tantalizing especially when it’s time to make my scenes move. I makes me want to do better, except the part of more frames to work with The speakers help motivated and allow me to play songs in full blast ESPECIALLY when we do GUILTY PLEASURE FRIDAYS and all of my colleagues sing to the tune of Queen with our heart out. VIVA LA MERCURY! As a photo manipulator hobbyist, I am very intricate about creating details into my works as part of my style. I like to zoom into a very inconvenient view just to lay down pixels in a part of a photo or carefully square out parts that I need from multiple image materials. ![]() I also like mixing up the color treatment of some of my works so I commend this iMac in helping me execute what I want from screen to prints. When I try to edit from other computers, the prints are usually less vibrant or out of hue from what I made.
